BIO

Enrique Sendra was born in Havana, Cuba in 1982. As a young boy his passion for art was very evident. With the support and encouragement of his family and friends, he was able to develop his talent by attending workshops and creating relations with other artists. In 1999, Enrique enrolled in "Taller De Figueroa", his first professional art school, where he was able to learn art in a structured way. In 2000 at the age of 18, Enrique presented his first solo exhibition in the Amelia Pelaéz Gallery in Havana. The following year Enrique immigrated to the U.S.

In the United States, Enrique's work has been shown in various spaces. He has participated in numerous group and solo art exhibitions. In 2006, he became the apprentice to contemporary Cuban Master David Rodríguez. Enrique has been recognized by several mayors and commissioners in Miami-Dade County for his participation in the Arts in the South Florida community, and he has received honorary awards and commendations. Enrique has been featured as an inspiration to young people in local news channels, newspapers and magazines. Today Enrique resides in Miami, Florida and continues to grow professionally through his art.
